The NICDS is soliciting proposals for inaugural workshops. Proposals
should emphasize the development and application of statistical methods
for the analysis of data with complex structures. Such data arise in
a wide variety of settings including, but not limited to, sample surveys
with complex designs, and biological, environmental, medical or industrial
studies with longitudinal or hierarchical structures.
Successful applicants must submit a subsequent
full proposal for a two-year National project with up to $60,000 in
annual support, and with the possibility of renewal after two years.
These projects are expected to involve partnerships with substantive
scientists, research institutes, government agencies or industry,
and should successfully seek other funding during the period of support.
Please consult NICDS webpage for detailed
instructions, guidelines, an application template
and evaluation criteria.
The deadline for applications will be announced
shortly and any questions may be directed to Jamie Stafford, the NPCDS
director. Applicants are advised to seek assistance in the preparation
of their proposal.
