The notion of polyhedral products originated from toric topology as a functorial construction for describing the topology of toric spaces and related objects. Much of the early work on polyhedral products was driven by their connection to moment-angle complexes and the variety of ways in which these spaces appear in different mathematical disciplines. Recent work has aimed, on the one hand, to investigate deeper structural properties of polyhedral products, and on the other hand, to widen their application to other disciplines.

 The purpose of the workshop is to accelerate the development of this emerging subject and to extend its applications to other areas, in particular to group theory, geometry and combinatorics.
