Overview

The World Congress of the Econometric Society is the most prestigious international conference in the field of economics. The previous ten congresses were held in Rome (1965), Cambridge, UK (1970), Toronto (1975), Aix-en-Provence (1980), Cambridge, USA (1985), Barcelona (1990), Tokyo (1995), Seattle (2000), London (2005), and Shanghai (2010).

The 11th Econometric Society World Congress will be held in Montreal from 17th to 21st August 2015. It is hosted by McGill University in association with the University of Montréal, UQAM, HEC Montréal, Concordia University, CIREQ, and CIRANO. The conference venue is the Palais des Congrès de Montréal (convention center) in downtown Montreal near the historic center and the port.
