The NICDS is soliciting proposals for inaugural workshops. Proposals
should emphasize the development and application of statistical methods
for the analysis of data with complex structures. Such data arise in
a wide variety of settings including, but not limited to, sample surveys
with complex designs, and biological, environmental, medical or industrial
studies with longitudinal or hierarchical structures.
Successful applicants must submit a subsequent full proposal for a
two-year National project with up to $60,000 in annual support, and
with the possibility of renewal after two years. These projects are
expected to involve partnerships with substantive scientists, research
institutes, government agencies or industry, and should successfully
seek other funding during the period of support. Please
consult NICDS webpage for detailed instructions, guidelines, an
application template and evaluation
criteria.
The
deadline for applications will be announced shortly and any questions
may be directed to Jamie Stafford, the NPCDS director. Applicants
are advised to seek assistance in the preparation of their proposal.
