Southern Ontario Numerical Analysis Day
Description
The 20th Southern Ontario Numerical Analysis Day (SONAD) will be held on Friday, April 19, 2002, in Toronto. It will be hosted by the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences as part of the Thematic Year on Numerical and Computational Challenges in Science and Engineering.
We will have two invited talks: one by Hermann Brunner, Mathematics Department, Memorial University, and the second by Des Higham, Mathematics Department, University of Strathclyde, Scotland, who is currently visiting the Fields Institute. Each of these talks will be one hour long. We will also have eight contributed talks, each 30 minutes long. The talks will be followed by a reception at the end of the day.
Although there is no registration fee for this event, it would help us if you registered in advance by clicking on the Registration button above.
