Canadian Quantum Information Summer School
Overview
The Canadian Quantum Information Summer School has become an annual Canadian tradition. The School is designed for graduate students, post-docs and researchers in mathematics, physics or computer science who are interested in learning about quantum information. Over five intense days, students will be introduced to the exciting and growing field of quantum information science by participating in seminars led by experts in the field. This year, participants will have the opportunity to learn about ground-breaking research in emerging areas of quantum information, as well as the basics of established areas. A list of topics to be covered follows below.
* quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution (N. Lutkenhaus)
* quantum algorithms (M. Mosca)
* quantum error correction (D. Gottesman)
* fault tolerant quantum computation (P. Aliferis)
* quantum control (D. Lidar)
* quantum computational complexity (J. Watrous)
* implementations (J. Baugh, B. Sanders)
* quantum information theory (J. Yard)
* quantum many-body problems and quantum information (G. Vidal)
