Undergraduate Summer School on Homological Algebra of Mirror Symmetry
Description
Mirror symmetry is an active area of research mathematics aimed at understanding certain dualities predicted by theoretical physicists. This workshop will focus on algebraic structures associated with mirror symmetry. Lectures will be given by Amanda Francis (American Mathematical Society), Tyler Kelly (Birmingham), and Ursula Whitcher (American Mathematical Society). Students who have a background in abstract algebra and are curious about physics are encouraged to apply, via the application form at http://www-personal.umich.edu/~uaw/hams/ .
