The Canadian Conference on Computational Geometry (CCCG) is a forum to disseminate and discuss theoretical and applied results in discrete and computational geometry. Computational geometry is concerned with the design of efficient algorithms, the development of software, and the study of the mathematical foundations of computational problems whose formulation involves geometric constraints. Submitted papers are refereed and accepted if they present new, original, and correct results of interest to the greater computational geometry community. Accepted papers are published in the conference proceedings and exceptional papers are invited to a special issue of the Elsevier journal Computational Geometry: Theory and Applications.
CCCG is the flagship conference for discrete and computational geometry research in Canada, and a well-recognized geometry conference worldwide. CCCG is known for its success in attracting students and young researchers into computational geometry research. In addition to its three keynote talks and regular paper presentation sessions, CCCG maintains a list of open problems through its open problem sessions, where researchers are encouraged to post open problems and get involved in active participation. This creates an excellent opportunity for the young researchers to interact with experienced researchers in solving open questions. The thriving community, encouragement towards student participation, and provision for high-quality research are some of the key aspects of CCCG that bring educational benefits to both Canadian and international research community.
