MathEd Forum: January 27, 2024
New Initiatives, Methods, and Directions in University Undergraduate Mathematics Education
Description
There has been growing interest in exploring questions of teaching in undergraduate mathematics and significant growth in the literature on undergraduate mathematics education research that analyzes, reflects, and challenges new ideas, initiatives, and teaching practices. In this hybrid session (in-person and online), we invite our international and fellow Canadian colleagues for a timely discussion around their perspectives on teaching mathematics courses, (re)designing undergraduate mathematics curricula, alternative assessment approaches, and desired student outcomes.
