Workshop on Operator Algebras and Applications: Free Probability
Description
It is 40 years since free independence was first introduced by Dan Voiculescu as a way to analyse the distribution of sums and products of operators. This idea has blossomed into a broad field of non-commutative analysis connecting operator algebras, harmonic analysis, probability, and combinatorics. Moreover, the applications of free independence have spread to many areas of science and engineering. This workshop will bring together new and established researchers from all areas of the discipline.
