This micro workshop will gather a group of people familiar with the internal workings of Macaulay2 computer algebra system. The primary goal is to work on several projects involving the low-level code in the kernel and on internal design of other parts of the system. One of the foci will be on improving the speed and robustness of common tools used for computations in commutative algebra. 

In addition, we plan several Q&A sessions to engage the participants of the program in discussion of various topics related to Macaulay2. This would be suitable for a wide range of mathematicians including those who have little or no experience in Macaulay2.
