Acknowledging Fields Institute Funding
If you’ve received funding from the Fields Institute, we want you to share this news. An acknowledgement of our support is a testament to the calibre of your work, and helps us demonstrate the value of mathematics research to the scientific community, funding agencies, and the general public.
What do I need to acknowledge?
We ask that you acknowledge the Fields Institute’s support when you, your institution, or a partner:
- Promote your research at conferences, in publications, or through advertising/public relations activities,
- Make a presentation or give a speech, seminar, or workshop related to your work, and/or
- Win(s) an honour or award related to your work.
How do I include an acknowledgement?
| Publications | Include the suggested text in articles, journal submissions, etc. |
| Presentations |
Use the suggested verbal acknowledgement in your presentation, talk, seminar, etc. Include the Fields Institute logo on slides, handouts, etc. |
| Honours/Awards |
Advise the awarding institution to include the suggested acknowledgements in press releases, news items, and speeches where appropriate. Use the verbal acknowledgement in speeches, lectures, etc. |
| Public Relations Activities |
Include the suggested text acknowledgement as a footer in press releases, blog posts, etc Include the Fields Institute logo where possible Photography of the Institute can be made available for press articles, blog posts, etc. Please contact the Communications Officer for details. |

Suggested text acknowledgement:

Suggested verbal acknowledgement:
“This research was supported by the Fields Institute.”
Using the Fields Logo
Add the Fields logo when identifying Fields support in the acknowledgement section of a poster, news release, or any other products. High-resolution versions of the Fields logo are available here.

We highlight the successes of funded projects in our annual report, newsletter, and reports to funding bodies. To do this, we draw on information from your final reports.
