Machine Learning (ML) Applications have proven be very effective in the areas of money laundering detection. More recently, ML has really helped in better detecting human trafficking in particular. This talk will focus on describing the human trafficking problem and its impact on the world, and practical applications of machine learning to detect and combat human trafficking. The talk will also focus on effectiveness of these ML techniques (eg. Graph theory, XGBoost etc.), the challenges in their applications and some creative approaches to mitigate these challenges.
