We present a collection of well-known as well as some new results on the existence of traces and quasitraces. We present examples of quasitraces on ultrapowers of C*-algebras that are not limits of traces; and we discuss when a C*-algebra admits a faithful trace. The latter leads to revisit of when a C*-algebra is stable.
