We give an overview of how data visualization, analysis, and optimization can be used on the business side of a professional sports organization. We discuss the kinds of data we have, the business problems we encounter in areas like pricing, sales, and marketing, and optimization problems that can be formulated to help solve those problems. We pay particular attention to how visualization can help with exploring and analyzing these data.
