Abstract:
The principle objective in my curriculum work is what is called mathematical thinking. But I am always on the lookout for situations in which technology critically enhances power and insight for the student. When working with functions, Desmos is often employed in Ontario classrooms and teachers are quite comfortable with this––and of course there is good CT in using Desmos. But I want these students to begin their journey towards languages like Python, and I will present an example that is ideally suited for that purpose.
