Abstract:
The goal of this work is to build on previous results to produce a more efficient and accurate method for computing solutions to Euler’s equations for water waves under ice (flexural-gravity waves) in two and three dimensions. In this talk, we give details of the current methods and compare solutions for different models of the ice sheet. We then analyse both the high frequency as well as the modulational instability of solutions in two-dimensions.
