Abstract:
After recalling the higher Morita category using factorization algebras from Calaque’s first lecture, I will explain how one can use geometric arguments to obtain results on dualizablity. The pictures which appear strongly resemble string diagrams and correspond to algebraic manipulations. An immediate corollary of the dualizability, using the Cobordism Hypothesis, is an alternative proof for the existence of the fully extended TFT from Calaque’s lecture. Moreover, I will compare to previous dualizability results by Douglas-Schommer-Pries-Snyder and Brochier-Jordan-Snyder on Turaev-Viro and Reshetikin-Turaev theories. This is joint work with Owen Gwilliam.
