We will given an overview on what is known on embedding Lp spaces in Lq for p,q between one and two in the category of operator spaces. The starting point of this story is of course the embedding of OH in noncommutative L1. Behind all these embedding results are Khintchine type inequalities which can only be shown using free probability.
