High resolution player tracking technology is quickly becoming the preferred method of data collection in the game of soccer, allowing team analysts to have a near-complete record of a game for the first time in history.

However, as tracking data has only recently began rolling through club doors, there frequently isn't adequate sample size to undertake certain angles of research that have typically been the focus of data analysts inside of clubs.
