We will discuss holonomy groupoids of foliated spaces supporting

hyperbolic homeomorphisms and groups associated with them. We will

show how one can construct interesting groups (e.g., groups of

intermediate growth or non-elementary amenable groups) using

hyperbolic dynamical systems, and how group structure is related with

the properties of dynamical systems.
