Abstract:
Global warming is a fact, and finance can play a central role in developing an effective paradigm to help reach global carbon net-zero. In this talk we shall explore how mathematical climate finance can address the valuation of assets and investments so that carbon flows are accounted for to mitigate further global warming and prepare for challenging climates. Marginal financial net-zero, permanence of carbon storage, and carbon offset schemes are some of the considered research lines with a view to exchange ideas and spur collaborations.
