In this talk we discuss a proof of the Koebe-Andre’ev-Thurston theorem for circle packings and circle polyhedra with overlaps up to pi/2. We will outline both the constructive proof of the existence of circle polyhedra for a given labeled triangulation homeomorphic to a sphere as well as the proof that such circle polyhedra are unique up to Möbius transformations.
