The talk will review the last 7 years of literature on Mathematics Anxiety. Specific themes include: How math anxiety is conceptualized, causes, treatments/solutions, and limitations and future research.

Bios:

Tina Rapke is an assistant professor at York University in the Faculty of Education. She views her research and teaching as related, seamless, and complementary. She teaches graduate courses in mathematics education.

Kitty Yan completed her doctoral studies at OISE, University of Toronto in 2017. Her research focuses on the teaching and learning of proofs at the secondary and university levels. She is a currently developing graduate online courses and co-teaching face-to-face courses with Dr. Tina Rapke in the Faculty of Education, York University.
