The notion of quasi-Poisson G-spaces with D/G-valued moment maps was introduced by Alekseev and Kosmann-Schwarzbach in 1999. In 2013, Severa discovered a product operation (`fusion') for such spaces. I will explain a simple construction of this fusion operation, which also leads to many new examples. Based on joint work with S. Tawfik.
