This course will cover dynamic mathematical modelling of biological process at the cellular level. The first half of the course will treat intracellular networks: metabolism, signal transduction, and genetic regulatory networks. Recent advances in experimental techniques have led to renewed interest in the dynamic modelling of these intracellular networks in the context of systems biology in which a system-level perspective is taken in studying network behaviour.
