One application of condensed mathematics is the construction of new base categories for functional analysis, replacing the usual categories of topological vector spaces. I will mostly focus on solid Z-modules, a base category for non-archimedean functional analysis, but I'll also say some words about liquid R-modules, a base category for archimedean fucntional analysis.
