I will define o-minimal structures and discuss some of the basic properties of sets and functions definable in an o-minimal structure. Next, I will state one of the most striking applications of this subject, namely the Pila-Wilkie Counting Theorem. Finally I will discuss various parametrization results, which aim to prove a strengthening of this theorem, namely Wilkie’s Conjecture.
