Abstract:
In 1983, Misha Lyubich proved that the periodic points of a rational map on P1 are uniformly distributed with respect to a unique measure of maximal entropy. In this talk, I'll discuss a related, but still unanswered, question: how many periodic points do we need to determine the measure?
