Canadian Tire Corporation is a proud sponsor of Olympic Sport in Canada. A partnership between Canadian Tire and Own the Podium was formed in 2015 to extend this support: by assigning some of our data analysts to turn long-term athlete development methodology into reality using data and analytics. My talk will focus on how this dedicated team came to be, how we use statistics and analytics to build performance benchmarks, and how we deliver this information to our National Sports Organizations in Canada. Some case-study examples will be presented.
