Quantized twisted adjoint orbits and quantum symmetric spaces

Abstract:
One can construct a symmetric space of compact type as a twisted adjoint orbit of a compact Lie group on its complexification. We show how this realisation exists also on the level of the associated quantum groups, with the quantum symmetric spaces determined by Letzter coideals. Implementing the correspondence on the C*-level leads to some interesting spectrality phenomena. This talk is based on joint work with M. Matassa.
