Noncommutative geometry initiated by Alain Connes has a long history of success. Hopf algebras satisfying certain properties are an analogue of groups in the framework of noncommutative geometry, and they are called quantum groups. In this talk, I will present the construction of a quantum group $SU(3)_\theta$ as a $C^*$-algebra and its geometric properties.
