Sensitivity analysis can be used to identify the most significant parameters in a model and give additional insight into the processes being described. In this talk we outline an approach to applying well known methods for global sensitivity analysis to time-varying systems like the ones typically encountered in mathematical biology. We present first results when this approach is applied to models of the chemostat and models of anaerobic digestion.
