Abstract:
We demonstrate a hybrid quantum-classical algorithm using an efficient variational approach to simulate open quantum systems on near-term, non-fault-tolerant quantum computers. We develop the time-dependent variational principle (TDVP) to the density formalism involves minimization of the Frobenius norm of the error for achieving simulation dynamics of open systems.
