Abstract:
In this talk, we consider the large-$N$ limit of genus $2N$ finite-gap solutions to the fNLS equation subject to a certain (thermodynamic) scaling of the corresponding bands and gaps. We describe soliton and breather gases in terms of the thermodynamic limit of the corresponding hyperelliptic Riemann surface. Our approach can be used to obtain soliton gas on the background of a finite gap solution.
