Abstract:
The stable homotopy of the space DJ(K), the Davis-Janskiewicz space associated to a simplicial complex K is a sum of the stable homotopy groups of smash products of CP1's. Motivated by the description of the cohomology of DJ(K) we place a product on the BP homology of DJ(K) which mixes the Stanley Reisner ring and the BP formal group law. We are then able to use work of Ravenal and Ravenel-Wilson to study the homotopy groups of the stable L1 localization of the mod p DJ(K) spaces for odd primes.
