Abstract:
Heegner points on modular curves have been important for finding a relation between central values of the derivative of a Rankin-Selberg L-function to heights of rational points on elliptic curves. Special cycles are a generalization of Heegner points to high-dimensional Shimura varieties. In this talk, we consider integral models of special cycles on some Shimura varieties and compute their arithmetic degree and relate it to the central value of derivative of Hilbert Eisenstein series.
