The first part of the talk will be a basic introduction to Fraisse limits and their partition problems. Then the partial order of type sets, orbits, of their automorphism groups will be introduced and its connection to partitions of the structures explained. The connection to more recent work of Pestov and Kechris, Pestov, Todorcevic will touched on and the special case of metric spaces discussed. In the talk some of the basic tools needed for work in partition theory will be introduced.
