Abstract:
Joint work with Jonathan Love (CICMA). Supersingular isogeny graphs can be used to construct cryptographic hash functions. Motivated by that, I shall discussed two recent theorems. One concerns the generation of maximal orders of quaternion algebras by elements of particular norm; the other is that maximal orders of elliptic curves are determined by their theta functions.
