Abstract:
We are concerned with the problem of analyzing a signal, looking for the frequencies that it contains, and at which times they appear. Various types of time-frequency representations are studied, in the frame of the Cohen class; in particular, the classical and generalized spectrogram are considered, as well as Wigner type transforms. We then analyze the problem of filtering a signal, studying various kind of operators in the frame of the pseudodifferential calculus.
