Abstract:
A (topological) renormalization scheme has been useful to decompose the non-wandering set of multimodal maps of the interval and (mildly) dissipative diffeos of the disk with zero entropy. We will present some discussions with Sylvain Crovisier about pushing a similar approach for any (mildly) dissipative diffeos of the disk.
