Hassett showed that there are natural reduction morphisms between moduli spaces of of weighted pointed stable curves when the weights drop. Recently Ascher, Bejleri, Inchiostro and Patakfalvi construct similar morphisms between moduli of stable pairs when the general member is klt. I will discuss some work in progress with Fanjun Meng that extends their result to the log canonical setting.
