Abstract:
Given a mapping to a Euclidean space E and a point x in E, the well group quantifies the stability of the homology over x. I will introduce two definitions of a well group. The first being very intuitive but not so easy to compute. The second involves the use of intersection theory. Both definitions have similar properties of stability, but It is not clear whether the two definitions are equivalent. This raises some interesting questions.
