In this talk, we will related the problem of finding invariant points for isometric actions on Banach spaces to dynamics. Roughly, this corresponds to solving certain cohomological equations associated to a group action on a topological space. We will relate the problem of continuity of these solutions to the (failure of) existence of these fixed points.
