Abstract:
We present an overview of a proof that $\pi_4(\mathbb{S}^3)=\mathbb{Z}/2\mathbb{Z}$ in synthetic homotopy theory.
In particular, we will talk about the James construction, the cohomology ring of a space, the Hopf invariant of a map and the Gysin sequence.
