Under logarithmic bounds on the symmetry we show that various topological and geometric features of positively curved manifolds with symmetry coincide with rank one symmetric space. Unlike in previous work further topological assumptions are made.

Our analysis relies on a careful analysis of the one skeletons of the torus actions.
