Abstract:
From financial trading to online advertising, auction networks are everywhere around us. In this talk we will consider some of the manual decisions which are made in the course of optimizing advertising campaigns, and discuss what can be done to automate them. We will consider some specifics of the domain and draw some connections to related domains such as financial trading.
Suhail Shergill is the Director of Innovation at Yellow Pages where he leads a team of software engineers and data scientists. Outside of work, Suhail is the organizer for the Toronto Probabilistic Programming meetup and the Montreal Apache Spark meetup and is active in the community as a technical advisor to startups.
