The moduli space of all parabolic Higgs bundles on a compact Riemann surface with marked points is naturally a holomorphic Poisson manifold. As such it has a foliation by holomorphic symplectic manifolds. These turn out to be hyperkahler manifolds in analogy to the moduli space of non-singular Higgs bundles. This, mostly expository talk, will be an introduction to these spaces and structures.
