Abstract:
Let E be an elliptic curve over the rationals with L-function LE(s). For any character χ, let LE(s,χ) be the twisted L-function. We show in this talk how Random Matrix Theory can be used to predict vanishing of L_E(s, \chi) in the family of cubic twists.
