Workshop on the Fourier Law and Related Topics
Description
The general problem of deriving the macroscopic behaviour of the nature from the laws governing the microscopic contituents is central in the theory of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. Recent advances in probability, analysis and dynamical systems have made possible to tackle some aspects of such problem rigorously. In this workshop we would like to bring together both mathematicians an theoretical physicists to discuss state of the art, new ideas and compare different approaches with particular emphasis (but not limited to) the derivation of the Fourier Law.
Topics
- Non equilibrium statistical mechanics
- Interacting particles systems and hydrodynamics limit
- Quantitative statistical theory of dynamical systems
- Kinetic theory
